Znalazło się wśród nich wielu intelektualistów, m.in.

| Eighty years after the beginning of the Spanish Civil War, this film tells the epic story of the International Brigades. What traces of this conflict remain? Beyond the controversial debates, powerful images of fighters from all over the world are engraved in the collective memory: Paris street urchins, New York dockers, Jews from Palestine, Polish miners, German militants. Often immigrants and mostly communists, they were illegal and hunted down. Thousands would perish on the Spanish soil they had come to liberate. Reconstructing the commitment and sincerity of these fighters, the film analyses what was at stake in this war that was both civil and international.
